The town of Spatterville is in for a serious makeover, and this time, you can bring a friend.
A major free content update for Spray Paint Simulator has just been released today on all platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (and via Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This new patch delivers on the community’s most-requested feature – co-op career mode – alongside new creative jobs and more.
This is a fantastic new coat of paint for an already relaxing experience, giving players the perfect excuse to grab a spray can and team up to bring some much-needed colour back to the world.
A Fresh Coat for a Cosy Favourite
When Spray Paint Simulator first launched, it was a welcome and relaxing new entry in the “cosy jobs” genre. In our 3.5/5 review, we called it a “great little addition to the burgeoning ‘cosy jobs’ genre” and “an extremely familiar setup” for fans of PowerWash Simulator. While we enjoyed the core loop, the solo-only career felt like a missed opportunity.
This new, free update from developer North Star Video Games (a team with experience on titles like Lawn Mowing Simulator) is a massive step forward, delivering on the game’s cooperative potential and adding even more creative freedom for players.
What’s New in the Can?
This is a substantial update that adds new ways to play, new jobs to complete, and new tools to show off your style.
The most requested and significant new feature has arrived. You no longer have to paint Spatterville all by your lonesome. The entire career mode now supports two-player co-op. You can team up with a friend to share the workload, tackle jobs together, and get paid as a team.
This update also expands your painting resume with three brand-new jobs: a cow sculpture, a rocket, and a dragon. But the best part isn’t just what you’re painting, but how. These new jobs are “multiple colour jobs,” which means you are no longer limited to the client’s requested colours. You can let your creativity run wild, choose any colour palette you want, and spray your own way!
And you can now stand out on the job with a selection of new skins for your spray tool, allowing you to personalise your most important piece of gear. On top of that, the update includes a host of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to make the whole experience a smoother work of art.
Key Update Features
Here’s a quick breakdown of everything included in today’s free update:
- Co-op Career Mode: Team up with a friend to complete all your painting jobs together.
- Three New Jobs: Paint a cow sculpture, a rocket, and a dragon.
- Multiple Colour Palettes: The new jobs let you pick your own colours and get creative.
- New Spray Tool Skins: Personalise your most important piece of gear.
- Quality of Life Fixes: A host of bug fixes and improvements to make the experience smoother.
This is a massive free update for a game that was already a charming and relaxing experience. Whether you’re a returning painter or a new employee clocking in for the first time via Xbox Game Pass, there’s never been a better time to grab a friend and bring some much-needed colour back to Spatterville.
The update is live now.
If you don’t yet have Spray Paint Simulator in your library, head to the usual storefronts, like that of the Xbox Store.
