Star Trek Online: Mirror of Discovery update

The influx of new content never seems to cease for Star Trek Online, with the Mirror of Discovery update on the horizon for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. So prepare yourself for yet more antics inspired by the popular CBS TV show, Star Trek: Discovery.

On 5th March, console Captains will come face-to-face with Captain Killy – a warped version of Tilly, voiced by Mary Wiseman from the Discovery TV show – and the Terran Empire. You see, in another universe that’s dark and twisted like a cracked reflection on a mirror, the brutal Terran Empire reigns supreme. All life there must submit to them or rebel, but now they’ve ventured into our Star Trek Online universe as part of the Mirror of Discovery update and could be a real threat to us.

In this latest content, players will travel to the forest planet of Pahvo to investigate strange readings from an Ion Storm. From there, a two episode arc will place you in a deadly race against time, where you’ll need to determine whether this ruthless Captain Killy will be a useful ally or a treacherouus enemy. Mirror of Discovery also brings back the Omega Molecule Stabilization event as part of the celebration for Star Trek Online’s 9th anniversary. Players can then collect Omega particles scattered across the galaxy to earn the new T6 Vulcan Scout Ship, which actually featured in Star Trek: Discovery.

A full list of features will be available when the Star Trek Online: Mirror of Discovery update launches at no cost for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 5th March. Don’t forget the game itself is also free, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, there’s no harm in giving it a go, is there?

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
