Star Trek Online Unveiled

Attention, Captains! The latest chapter in the ever-expanding universe of Star Trek Online is beaming down to consoles today, March 11th. And it comes in the form of Star Trek Online: Unveiled.

Star Trek Online: Unveiled, the 33rd season of the long-running free-to-play MMORPG, is available today on Xbox and PlayStation, bringing with it a new Borg incursion, a 15th-anniversary celebration, and the return of a familiar face.

Originally released on PC in February, Unveiled continues the story of the Cooperative Borg and introduces a new mystery in the Delta Quadrant. Console players can now join the ranks of Starfleet, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Republic, or the Dominion, and explore the vast reaches of the Star Trek universe.

If you’re wondering if Star Trek Online is worth your time, our review of the game on Xbox Series X|S might sway you. While we appreciated the overall fun experience and awarded it a 4/5 score, we did note the game’s dated graphics, stating: “An all round fun experience that sadly hasn’t been given the Series X|S boost it deserves, a Shiny Lens Flare look is what would really go down a treat in Star Trek Online. For me, the starships should glisten and the shine in every aspect should be forefront, and sadly the graphics did not receive a huge boost like this. The lack of features brought by the Xbox Series X|S upgrade does not detract from the fun available in Star Trek Online, but you’ll need to look past the 2007 graphical style.

Remember, Star Trek Online is free-to-play and download from the Xbox Store, so you can jump in and experience the adventure without any upfront cost.

Unveiling the Harmony

In Star Trek Online: Unveiled, a new and more sinister Borg incursion is taking place in the Ram Izad system.

Players will respond to a distress call from Hugh, the renowned Cooperative Borg Faction Leader, and discover the damaged ship of Aetherian leader, Thaseen-Fei. This rescue mission will lead players to uncover the truth about what went wrong aboard the Harmony.

This new adventure features the return of Jonathan Del Arco as Hugh, reprising his role from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard. Del Arco’s performance adds a layer of authenticity and nostalgia to the narrative, making it a must-play for fans of the franchise.

Key Features of Star Trek Online: Unveiled

  • New Episode – Axiom: Investigate a new Borg threat and uncover the mysteries of the Harmony.
  • Season 33 Event – 15th Anniversary: Celebrate 15 years of Star Trek Online with special rewards, including the Garret Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser [T6].
  • New Lock Box: “Discovery: Partners In Crime”: Unlock the Breen Keth Sarr Intel Courier [T6] and other rewards inspired by Star Trek: Discovery Season 5.

Explore the Star Trek Universe

Star Trek Online allows players to explore iconic locations, encounter new alien species, and engage in thrilling space battles. Captains can customise their starships and build their crew as they forge their own destiny in the vast Star Trek universe.

Join the Adventure

Star Trek Online: Unveiled is available now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. If you’re a fan of Star Trek or online RPGs, this is your chance to boldly go where no one has gone before.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
