Command Voyager Through The Delta Quadrant

Stranded far from Earth, Voyager begins this adventure heavily damaged and running on limited resources. As captain, players must rebuild the ship, manage the crew, and carefully plan every decision that could determine whether the journey home succeeds or ends in disaster.

The game leans heavily into the “what if?” scenarios Star Trek fans often debate. What if the crew embraced Borg technology? What if diplomacy failed more often? What if a key crew member didn’t survive?

Across the Unknown allows players to explore alternate possibilities while navigating the same hostile region of space that defined the television series.

Ship Management Meets Roguelite Storytelling

Managing Voyager is central to the experience. Players will restore damaged rooms, construct new facilities, maintain life support systems, and research technologies to strengthen the ship.

Some research paths come with difficult ethical choices, particularly when it comes to experimenting with dangerous alien technologies. These decisions can shape both the ship’s capabilities and the morale of its crew.

Because of the roguelite structure, each playthrough presents new events, encounters, and outcomes. Crew members may survive, fall in battle, or take entirely different paths depending on player decisions.

Exploration, Diplomacy, And Combat

The Delta Quadrant remains unpredictable. Players will scan planets and anomalies for resources, send crew members on away missions, and encounter strange phenomena across multiple sectors of space.

Away missions require careful team selection, balancing skills and personalities to improve survival chances. Meanwhile, ship-to-ship combat places players on the bridge, issuing tactical commands and assigning crew to critical battle stations.

Diplomacy is always an option, but not always the safest one.

A New Take On A Classic Star Trek Journey

We first covered Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown when it was announced in 2025, and the finished game builds on that early promise by focusing on decision-driven storytelling and survival strategy gameplay. You’ll find it on the Xbox Store in Standard Edition form, as well as a beefier Deluxe Edition.

Rather than retelling Voyager’s story exactly as it appeared on television, this experience allows players to reshape it entirely, as they go creating alternate timelines, different ship configurations, and new character outcomes across multiple runs.

For Star Trek fans, it’s an opportunity to step onto the bridge and truly take command.

And in the Delta Quadrant, every decision matters.
