Arriving today on Xbox One, Steamroll is a puzzle adventure game where you are a new recruit in charge of the Scarabeus, a new invention powered by steam that allows you to traverse the mines that have just started to crumble around you. Perhaps because you caused a big explosion in them, but that could be pure speculation?
Steamroll features a steampunk environment where even the projectiles you fire from the Scarabeus are powered by steam. These projectiles can help you form ramps for navigation, activate switches or deploy walls and barriers to bounce your projectiles from, all in the name of escaping the mine.
But it isn’t all about getting out at a leisurely pace; each level has three stars to award based on time taken and number of projectiles used. Because with the mine collapsing around you, the last thing you want to do is take your time and enjoy the steampunk environment.
Steamroll is ready to rock and roll now on Xbox One with it priced up at £9.19 from the Xbox Store. For Xbox One X owners it is 4K enabled and enhanced for even better visuals. Just remember to actually escape the mine eventually yeah?
