The beaches of Gallipoli are the latest battleground for BlackMill Games’ WW1 Game Series, with Gallipoli now bringing its brand of methodical, unforgiving multiplayer warfare to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Priced at ÂŁ24.99, the latest entry heads to the Ottoman Fronts for 25v25 battles where teamwork, positioning and a single well-placed shot can make all the difference.

The Ottoman Fronts Become The Battlefield

Gallipoli focuses on one of the First World War’s most infamous campaigns, while expanding beyond the peninsula to explore the wider Ottoman Fronts. Five maps are available at launch, taking players from the contested beaches of ANZAC Cove and V Beach to the deserts around Ctesiphon, the battered streets of Kut al-Amara and the Suez Canal.

Players can fight for either the British Empire or Ottoman forces, with 10 historically inspired classes providing different responsibilities within each squad. Whether taking command as an Officer, laying down fire as a Heavy Machine Gunner or keeping wounded soldiers alive as a Stretcher Bearer, cooperation is central to surviving the battlefield.

One Shot Can Change Everything

Gallipoli sticks firmly to the series’ grounded approach to First World War combat. Battles are built around objective-based 25v25 multiplayer, with weighty weapons, realistic handling and a suppression system designed to make firefights feel dangerous rather than disposable.

More than 50 weapons and pieces of equipment have been recreated from the British and Ottoman arsenals, while a procedural reload system adds another layer of pressure. Knowing your weapon is only part of the equation – staying calm while under fire and working with your squad could prove just as important.

Crossplay also brings the console and PC communities together, while bots can fill out public matches or be added to custom games, helping ensure the battlefield doesn’t fall silent.

Editions And Extras

Gallipoli is available in three main editions, giving players the choice between the standard experience and additional cosmetic content.

  • Standard Edition – ÂŁ24.99: Includes the full Gallipoli base game.
  • Ottoman Empire Edition – ÂŁ32.99: Includes the base game, plus the Conscript Pack and Ordered to Die Pack, both of which add historically inspired Ottoman-era cosmetic equipment.
  • Expeditions Pass – ÂŁ49.99: Includes Gallipoli alongside the First Expedition Pass and Second Expedition Pass, providing additional cosmetic armouries for the British and Ottoman Empire. The packs include new uniform sets, face customisation and accessory options based on equipment used during the First World War. The First Expedition focuses on equipment associated with the Gallipoli landings and Mesopotamia Campaign, while the Second Expedition expands the cosmetic selection across the Gallipoli, Mesopotamia and Sinai & Palestine campaigns.

There are also individual cosmetic packs available separately, including Sunburnt and Light Horse for British Empire forces, alongside Ordered to Die and Conscript for Ottoman forces.

A New Chapter For The WW1 Game Series

Gallipoli is the fourth standalone game in the WW1 Game Series, following Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo. Each of those has explored a different front of the conflict, and Gallipoli continues that approach with its focus on the Ottoman Empire and the brutal conditions faced by soldiers across the region.

We’ve previously covered the series in reviews, including all three of Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo. Our reviews have consistently highlighted the attention to historical detail, even when some of the games have struggled with dated visuals, bugs or a lack of content. Gallipoli therefore has an interesting challenge ahead – retaining the authenticity that defines the series while pushing its gameplay and presentation forward. We just hope this one launches without the bugs that plagued previous games.

If you’re interested in those other games, you’ll find the Xbox Store playing host to the WW1 Game Series – Frontlines Collection for ÂŁ69.99. it includes all four games in the series – Verdun, Tannenberg, Isonzo and Gallipoli.

Gallipoli Is Ready For Deployment

With its combination of large-scale multiplayer, historically inspired maps and deliberately unforgiving combat, Gallipoli is aimed squarely at players who prefer their shooters to demand patience rather than reward running and gunning.

The latest WW1 Game Series entry is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, with full crossplay between platforms.
