Spot-the-difference games can be dangerously simple. You look at two pictures, notice a few things that don’t quite match, and tell yourself you’ll just finish this one before moving on. Suddenly, you’ve spent far longer than planned staring at a tiny corner of an image.
That’s the idea behind Sticker Picker, the latest release from Afil Games and a rather nice change of pace for a developer that, as far as we’re aware, hasn’t tackled a spot-the-difference game before. It’s out now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, with each version priced at £4.19.

Two Pictures, One Big Question
The premise here is suitably straightforward. Sticker Picker puts two colourful illustrations in front of you and asks you to find the differences between them. Of course, finding them isn’t always quite as easy as it sounds.
The game’s scenes are packed with characters, objects and little details, with some changes designed to be spotted almost immediately and others tucked away where you’ll need to give the artwork a much closer inspection. It makes for the sort of puzzle that is easy to understand but can become surprisingly absorbing once you start hunting for those final few differences.
Afil Games Gets A Little More Observant
There’s a nice bit of familiarity to the artwork too. Sticker Picker brings together characters from the Afil Games universe (like Slide Viking), giving the developer a chance to put some of its existing creations into a completely different sort of game. And believe us, that Afil universe is absolutely huge at this point.
But more importantly, the illustrations have been created specifically for Sticker Picker, so you’re not simply being asked to find changes in a collection of recycled images. There are colourful environments to explore, characters to examine and plenty of little visual details to keep an eye on.
It also makes this an interesting new direction for Afil Games. We’ve seen the developer tackle plenty of smaller and more unusual gaming ideas. But a spot-the-difference? That’s a new one on us.
Ready To Start Picking And Sticking?
Afil Games has taken a familiar puzzle concept and given it a colourful home of its own with Sticker Picker. It’s simple, accessible and doesn’t ask much of you beyond a willingness to look very, very closely at a picture.
For £4.19, that’s not a bad proposition if you enjoy spot-the-difference games or simply fancy something a little more relaxed between bigger releases.
Sticker Picker is out now, downloadable from the Xbox Store in three versions. It’s fully optimised for Xbox Series X|S, has another version that is playable on Xbox One and also comes in a Windows PC flavour.
