Remember when first person shooters were dark, desperate affairs? Well, times are a-changing and Fashion Police Squad is all about colour. That and shooting some proper fashion faux pas.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch (as well as already being present on PC via Steam), Fashion Police Squad ditches the rip and tear of shooters of old, for a more sew and stitch affair, as you shoot fashion criminals, hoping to ensure they see the error of their ways.
Priced at £16.74, Fashion Police Squad works usual shooter lines, but it’s your Belt of Justice and Tailormade Sewing Machine which are your most valuable tools as you head out into the world, dishing out new clothes for those who need it.
A single player story is the main draw here, as you encounter the most fabulous of characters, the most dazzling of encounters and some wicked runway shows. You’ll just need to decide which weapon you need for each job. In all, the key features include:
- -Pit yourself against all kinds of Fashion Crimes, from saggy pants to neon brights
- -Utilize a specialized weapons arsenal, including weaponized Sock Gnomes
- -Jump, climb and swing your way around Trendopolis to uncover its secrets
- -Fight against the biggest, baddest bosses in the fashion industry
- -Solve the mystery of the resurgence of Fashion Crime and take out the villains at the top
The latest Fashion Police Squad trailer is below, giving some great insight into the game, but our full review is also live. We gave it a 3.5/5 in review, picking up on the humorous concept and fast gameplay, as well as the great weapons and ideas. The problem is, it gets a little stale – but before that kicks in, you’ll find a ton of fun.
