Are you ready to crush some foes, storm some castles and take control of whatever throne is put before you? Kingshunt is coming to consoles and PC in 2021!

Unveiled by those at the Finnish development team at Vaki Games with a first gameplay trailer, Kingshunt is a new team based third person combat title that promises to combine the best and most ruthless aspects of combat in tower defence and souls-like games with the tactical nous required in real-time strategy games.

Due to hit console and PC in 2021, Kingshunt will let you choose a hero, join the fight and work your way through a battlefield full of destruction. Playing out as a fast-paced thriller that mixes skill with visceral hero combat, the gameplay here will focus on two teams of heroes going up against each other in intense 5v5 matches. This will see the Defenders consisting of the forces of Light – needing to build defenses, protect structures, survive against the undead army, protect the Guardian – and the Attackers consists of the forces of Undead – summon minions, destroy enemy structures and defences – going head-to-head, all intent on chasing ever-changing objectives. And once that is hit, a powerful AI-controlled Guardian appears, blocking progress to the next stage. Will you be able to vanquish it forevermore and find progression to the next stage?

Things get even more interesting when you consider that Kingshunt blends multiple game-genre mechanics against a medieval high-fantasy backdrop complete with castles, knights and monsters. Created and designed to work as a full mix of brawler and hero shooter, all while adding an RTS feel to the gameplay, it certainly looks and sounds like an interesting proposition.

Hard work and dedication are key ingredients to success. Still, when you surround yourself with passionate people, like so many in our community and those in our studio, you make the journey one worth taking.”

Features of Kingshunt include:

  • Play a variety of characters who utilise their unique mastery of skills and abilities to suit multiple playstyles
  • Study arcane abilities to create devastating attacks
  • A wide selection of Utilities – Unlock game-changing utilities for both sides that allow players to build and destroy their way to victory
