Phantom Doctrine is a turn-based tactical affair, which is set at the pinnacle of the Cold War and hoping to capture the tension and intrigue of those classic spy films of yesteryear. There’s a deep single player mode to get stuck in to, enabling you to experience the goings on from two different perspectives: as a renegade CIA commando or a KGB operative. Prepare your agents for the upcoming missions, investigate cases and do research to ensure you have cutting-edge technology at your fingertips. All that’s then left to do is infiltrate the enemy’s facilities and destroy their assets by way of stealth or brute force – that’s your call.
Should you wish to really put your masterful skills to the test, the one versus one online multiplayer matches will let you challenge others across the globe in ruthless battles. Whoever your enemy is though, whether A.I. or human, you’ll need to always stay one step ahead to avoid falling into one of their devious traps.
