Command From Above Or Fight On The Ground
Warshift 2: Machines of Madness mixes large-scale RTS gameplay with direct third-person action, allowing you to switch between commanding the battlefield and getting personally involved in the fighting.
You’ll be able to construct bases, gather resources, create energy and manage an expanding army that includes troops, defensive structures, mechs, carriers and flying battleships. But when watching the action from above isn’t enough, you can take control of a Hero and head directly into combat.
Those Heroes can be customised and upgraded, with different weapons, abilities and add-ons such as drones and turrets helping you adapt to the fight ahead.
A War Across Land, Sea And Space
The campaign takes place in a future where humanity is facing an aggressive biomechanical civilisation determined to consume all life. Frontier worlds have become battlegrounds, with cyborgs, machines and bio-engineered creatures fighting for control.
That conflict won’t be restricted to a single type of environment either. Warshift 2 takes players across ground, air, water, volcanic areas, underwater locations and even outer space, while custom skirmishes against AI aim to provide plenty of replayability beyond the main campaign.
Expect some seriously heavy weaponry too, with massive units, battleships and orbital destruction all part of the available arsenal.
