Stunning Mega Man inspired 20XX now available on Xbox One

2026's Best Games

Mega Man has a huge following the world over, but right now we are seeing a Mega Man inspired title come to fruition, bringing in a bit of roguelike action for good measure. What is it? 20XX.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One (after launching on PS4 and Nintendo Switch yesterday), 20XX has been created with Mega Man in mind.

Priced at ÂŁ14.99, it is however an entirely different kettle of fish as you get the opportunity to jump and shoot your way through a world full of ever changing stages, as you collect awesome powers, try to take down bosses and eventually save the entire human race.

Daily ranked challenges, a variety of difficulty settings and a lovely chiptune inspired soundtrack round off the experience, but should you wish to throw in the fact that you can leap and blast with a friend in tow too, then you’ll quickly see how 20XX is shaping up.

It also comes complete with the Hawk DLC Pack included and this brings a third playable character fighting with her own distinct whip attack. To ensure that the roster is rounded out, a free update after launch will see the heavily armed Draco make his debut.

“20XX is a celebration of classic action-platforming remixed with modern roguelike design,” said Chris King, founder, Batterystaple Games. “After a wonderful reception on PC, we’re so excited that console players can finally get their hands on the game.”

You can grab 20XX right now from the Xbox Store. If you wish to know more about the game, then you can give our review a little read too – once you have, we’re pretty sure you’ll be sticking that cash in and getting the download rolling.

Game Description:

20XX is a roguelike action platformer that you can play with a friend. Jump and shoot your way through ever-changing levels, collect awesome new powers, and battle mighty bosses in the name of saving the human race maybe! 20XX also features full co-op. Play with a friend on the couch or over the internet! 20XX supports 1-2 players locally or online.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
