There was a time when Stuntman was one of gaming’s most stressful yet satisfying driving experiences, demanding pinpoint precision as players attempted to nail movie-worthy action sequences. Now, after years away from the spotlight, the franchise is making a dramatic comeback. Stuntman: Hollywood has been officially revealed by Saber Interactive, bringing blockbuster-inspired stunt driving to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Unveiled during Sony’s State of Play showcase, the new game takes the foundations of the cult-favourite series and gives them a modern blockbuster twist, with iconic vehicles and stunt sequences inspired by some of Universal’s biggest film and television properties.

A Hollywood Comeback Years In The Making
It’s been a long road back for the Stuntman franchise. Many players will remember the original games and the later release of Stuntman: Ignition, which challenged players to hit precise marks, jumps and drifts while elaborate action scenes unfolded around them.
Stuntman: Hollywood looks set to modernise that formula whilst keeping the spectacle front and centre.
Rather than simply racing from point A to point B, players will take on the role of an aspiring stunt performer, tasked with pulling off increasingly ambitious sequences inspired by famous movies and television shows. Every drift, jump and near-miss is designed to feel like part of a blockbuster production.
Fast Cars, Time Machines and Talking Vehicles
One of the biggest draws is the roster of licensed properties featured in the game. Saber Interactive has confirmed that players will tackle stunt sequences inspired by franchises including Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race. That means getting behind the wheel of some genuinely iconic vehicles from film and television history.
The legendary K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider is confirmed, as is the famous DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future. Alongside them will be a collection of supercars, muscle cars and motorcycles designed to test players’ skills across increasingly demanding stunt challenges.
Precision Driving Meets Pure Chaos
While the reveal trailer focuses heavily on explosive action, the core gameplay appears to stay true to what made the original series stand out.
Success isn’t simply about surviving a stunt sequence – it’s about executing it perfectly. Players will need to chain together jumps, drifts and narrowly avoided collisions while hitting specific marks and timing windows. As they progress, new vehicles, tougher challenges and larger set pieces will become available.
And the aim? Well that is simple: climb the Hollywood ladder and become the industry’s most sought-after stunt driver.
Speaking about the announcement, Saber Interactive Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits said: “The classic Stuntman game was so memorable for me, it’s always been a dream to recreate such a legend of gaming history, and evolve it into something new. At Saber, we love working with classic IPs, and we’re excited to team up again with Universal to bring back a true adrenaline rush for fans.“
Lights, Camera, Action
The racing genre certainly isn’t short of competition, what with the recent launch of Forza Horizon 6, but Stuntman: Hollywood is taking a different route. Rather than focusing on championships or open-world exploration, it’s leaning fully into cinematic spectacle and the fantasy of becoming a professional stunt performer.
For those who fondly remember the original games, or simply fancy launching a DeLorean through a flaming stunt ramp, this could be one to keep firmly on the radar.
Stuntman: Hollywood is currently in development for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. There is currently no sign that it will land in Game Pass on Day One, but we can but hope.
