The Cats Have A New Problem
The original Super Astro Cat sent its feline heroes across the universe in search of a suitable planet to call home. Now that they’ve found one, you’d think Agent C could finally put their feet up. Not quite.
Super Astro Cat 2 shifts the focus from exploration to defence, with alien forces attacking the newly established bases from every direction. Your job is to keep those bases standing while completing the various tasks needed to help the cats thrive in their new surroundings.
Thankfully, Agent C has arrived better prepared for the fight. A new arsenal of weapons gives you more options when dealing with the relentless alien hordes, with choosing the right tool for the job forming an important part of the action.
As attacks arrive, you’ll need to react to the situation, manage the threats and keep working towards your objectives. It’s all about surviving the pressure while making sure the cats’ new home doesn’t become a particularly unfortunate holiday destination.
A Sequel To The 2024 Space Cat Adventure
Super Astro Cat 2 follows the launch of the original game in late 2024, which brought 2D shoot-’em-up action and a rather unusual feline spin to Xbox and PC.
If you’re looking to jump into the series for the first time, there’s also a Super Astro Cat 1 + 2 Bundle available for ÂŁ16.74. This combines all three versions of the new game with the two versions of the original, giving aspiring space-cat commanders the complete adventure in one package.
More Cats, More Aliens, More Shooting
Super Astro Cat 2 doesn’t appear interested in reinventing the space-shooting cat wheel. Instead, it takes the premise of the original and gives Agent C a new objective, a new arsenal and plenty of aliens to point it at.
For ÂŁ4.19 from the Xbox Store (in three flavours no less – Xbox Series X|S Optimised, Xbox One, Windows PC), those after a straightforward burst of arcade-style action can now send the cats back into battle. After all, finding a new planet was clearly the easy bit. Keeping it safe is where things get interesting.
