Solar Sail Games and Curve Digital have teamed up to ensure the stunning hand-illustrated survival RPG, Smoke and Sacrifice, will be coming to a PC and console near you in 2018.
Announced today by developer Solar Sail Games, with publishing rights handled by Curve Digital, Smoke and Sacrifice will be hitting Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC this year – that’s 2018!
A game that explores ecological fantasia and themes of motherhood, Smoke and Sacrifice will see players placed into the role of Sachi, a young mother on a quest to discover the fate of her child. Taking place in a dark, fantastical world where grotesque plantlife and animals roam and harsh societal customs rule, you’ll find that Smoke and Sacrifice is taking inspriation from modern survival classics whilst evolving the genre with a deeply personal story and complex ecosystem.
Expect to find a game in which creatures forage, mate, breed and prey on one another, to ensure that a full living world is fast created. It’ll only be by taming the wilds can Sachi hope to unravel the mystery at the heart of Smoke and Sacrifice.
With a beautiful, hand-painted style, and stunning storybook visuals that tell the brutal story of motherhood and survival, if you’re after something a little different, and a little special, this could well be it.
