Survive in a unique post-apocalyptic world as 60 Seconds! comes to Xbox One and PS4

60 seconds launch

For years the gaming world has been obsessed with the post-apocalyptic. The likes of Fallout and State of Decay show those worlds to full effect. But what if you had to put up with the apocalypse as an everyday family man; a responsible citizen just looking out for his family? In 60 Seconds! on Xbox One and PS4, that’s exactly what you’ll be left coping with – and as the title implies, your time will be limited in order for survival to unfold.

60 Seconds! originally launched on Steam way back in 2015, and in that time has gathered up a huge number of positive reviews across the 2 million odd units that have sold. Today though it’s time for a new audience to enjoy the madness as The Robot Gentlemen deliver 60 Seconds! to Xbox One and PS4.

Priced at £8.39 from the Xbox Store, 60 Seconds! sees you playing through the life of Ted, your everyday family man who is just after the best for his family. The problem is, a nuclear apocalypse has taken place and it is up to you and Ted to gather up as many useful belongings as possible, in order to ensure that his survival tale is a strong one. Even more of an issue though is the fact there is only 60 Seconds on the clock – and it’s counting.

Grabbing everything you can – and making tough decision on what, and who, to leave behind – before heading to the fallout shelter is the name of the game in 60 Seconds on Xbox One and PS4. And depending on what you decide to take each time, your game will fluctuate, change and be dictated by those decisions. The big question is what is going to be useful for when you take the trip out into the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

If you can get enough of what these quick-decision, survival-making experiences play out as, then getting over to the Xbox Store or PlayStation Store right now will see you able to grab the required download. With a ton of dark humour involved, and some rather lovely little easter eggs thrown in for good measure, chances are that the move from PC to console will suit 60 Seconds! Only our full review of 60 Seconds! on Xbox One will be able to answer that question though. We urge you to give it a little read.

Game Description:

As Ted, a responsible citizen and a family man, you are faced with a slight disturbance to your happy, suburban lifestyle. THE NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE. With only 60 seconds left to impact, guide Ted in a mad, intense and action packed dash through his house in search of his family and useful supplies. Everything will be against you – time, your very own furniture, the house that’s different every time you play and the fundamental question – what to take with you and who to leave behind? Reaching the fallout shelter in time and alive is only the beginning. Whatever you scavenged and whoever you saved will play a vital role in your survival. Each survival story will be different, with every day surprising you with unexpected events. Will all of these stories end well? It’s up to you. Ration food and water, make best use of your supplies, face difficult choices and even venture into the wasteland. Good luck.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
