games with gold november 2020

It’s undeniable that the Xbox Games With Gold games are getting increasingly slight, what with a new console and Xbox Game Pass stealing its limelight. But hey – these are still free(ish) games, and they’re both more than worth your time.

Out goes Full Spectrum Warrior from the OG Xbox, and in comes Swimsanity! and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. These two sidle up to Aragami: Shadow Edition, which is still available.

As a handy, at-a-glance guide:

  • LEAVING TODAY – Full Spectrum Warrior – Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
  • Nov 1 – Nov 30 – Aragami: Shadow Edition – Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
  • Nov 16 – Dec 15 – Swimsanity! – Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
  • Nov 16 – Nov 30 – Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures – Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

Swimsanity! has an exclamation mark at the end, so it must be good. More importantly, it’s something that we called “a good, fun underwater-shooter when played with friends, and an absolute brutal beast when taken on alone” in our review. That sounds like a gauntlet thrown down to you solo players – show that Neil Watton was wrong in his review!

Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, meanwhile, is a more sedate affair. Following Indy through the first three movies (and some would say the only three movies), this was one of the first of the modern Lego games. It’s getting rickety at the grand old age of 18 (this was first released in 2002), but it’s still a good one. Just remember your Charlemagne (au revoir, Sean)!

As usual, free Xbox Games With Gold games are available to download for anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and will be playable across Xbox 360 and Xbox One (and now Xbox Series X|S) while that subscription is active. Let us know in the comments what you think of this month’s freebies. Surely anything that doesn’t cost a dime is worth the effort, yeah?
