It’s crucial for players to note that the Moonlit Night Fragment DLC is included if you own the SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream Character Pass Vol. 2.
If you purchased the pass back when we covered its launch alongside The Devil’s Comeback DLC, you can access this new content today at no extra charge. Character Pass Vol. 2 also includes the upcoming “Symphony of a Dazzling Dawn” DLC (featuring Mito and Cat Knight Alice) scheduled for release later this year.
Expanding the Fractured Dream
This new DLC adds more playable characters and story content to the co-op focused action RPG from Bandai Namco and developer Dimps Corporation. While our 3.5/5 review noted that “the single player aspect of SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream suffers with repetitive and bland missions”, it also praised the online co-op, stating it “provides exciting and frenetic action that entices you back for more… the excellent roster [boosts] longevity and replayability.” Â
Adding fan-favourite characters like Philia and Sachi, along with a new scenario to tackle, directly enhances that roster and provides more content for players, especially those engaging with the game’s strong co-op elements.
If you’re an SAO enthusiast looking to expand your Fractured Daydream experience, or if you own Character Pass Vol. 2, the Moonlit Night Fragment DLC is available now (here’s your Xbox Store link), offering a new story beat and two more characters to master.
