Yep, it’s a pretty quiet week for your Game Pass subscription, with Abyssus emerging from the depths on June 25th as the newest addition to the Game Pass library across cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
And while it may be arriving alone, this cooperative roguelite shooter looks more than capable of making some noise.

Into The Depths With Abyssus
Launching into Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass, Abyssus takes players beneath the waves and into the ruins of a long-forgotten civilisation.
It’s here where a team of Brinehunters is dispatched to investigate a vast deposit of brine – a powerful and mysterious substance hidden deep beneath the ocean floor. Naturally, things don’t go according to plan and before long, the expedition turns into a desperate fight for survival as the corrupted inhabitants of the sunken kingdom emerge to defend their territory.
Abyssus is a first-person shooter built around cooperative play. Supporting up to four players, success relies on more than simply having good aim. Team composition, weapon loadouts and tactical coordination all play major roles as players battle through increasingly dangerous encounters.
Each run takes place across a selection of procedurally sequenced levels drawn from a pool of 64 hand-crafted environments, helping ensure that no two expeditions feel exactly the same.
And the game builds its identity around a unique “brinepunk” aesthetic. Ancient gods, corrupted underwater kingdoms and experimental technology all collide to create a world that feels refreshingly different from many modern shooters. With eight weapon types, dozens of modifications, multiple bosses and a large roster of enemies to overcome, there should be plenty here for players looking for their next cooperative obsession.
What’s Next For Game Pass?
There’s no denying that this is a lighter week for Game Pass compared to some of the huge content drops we’ve seen recently. But sometimes a single addition can stand out more than an overcrowded lineup.
Abyssus looks poised to do exactly that, combining co-op action, roguelite progression and a striking underwater setting into something that could become a sleeper hit among subscribers.
The quieter week won’t last for long. Looking ahead, the week of June 29th brings RV There Yet? on June 30th, before Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 arrives on July 2nd across cloud, console and PC. Then, during the week of July 6th, Winds of Arcana: Ruination joins the service, ensuring Game Pass subscribers have plenty more to look forward to as the summer rollout continues.
