Forget the Clone Wars and the Secret Wars, for today it’s all about Necromunda: Underhive Wars with a first look at the gameplay. There’s also a confirmed release date to make a note of; it won’t be long until it arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars is an upcoming third-person tactical action game set in Games Workshop’s iconic far-future cityscape. Not only have the folks behind it, Rogue Factor and Focus Home Interactive, presented a peek at the gameplay in the latest trailer, but a concrete release has been set for 8th September as well. Just in case you’re unfamiliar with it, let’s tell you a little bit in regards to what you can expect when it launches.

Deep below the nightmarish, polluted hive cities of Necromunda, way down in the twisted, terribly steep, dark tunnels of the Underhive, rival gangs are fighting to the bitter end. Why? For numerous reasons including power, wealth, survival and the honour of their House. It’s an all-out war between these gangs and only the strongest will survive the perils of the Underhive.

Be ready to lead, customise, and grow your forces of the Escher, Goliath, and Orlock gang members. Turn each of your gang into specialists and send them to battle in hazardous, vertical dystopian environments. It’s worth remembering to exploit the terrain in the midst of the explosive tactical gunfights too; climb raised walkways to take the advantage, set traps, and ambush your foes to force them into bloody melee engagements. Whatever it takes to get the job done.

Don’t forget to watch the trailer below and then just relax until 8th September, when Necromunda: Underhive Wars releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam for PC. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
