It promises not to be a horror experience, nor a standard walking sim. But when a bunch of ex-Minecraft and Paradox devs come together, the end result should be something special. The question is, dare you visit Lake Ridden on Xbox One?

Available to purchase and download from the Xbox Store for Xbox One, Lake Ridden is the latest narrative driven adventure to immerse yourself in, as we get the opportunity to drop back to 1988 and fall into the life of a young girl, Marie.

Lake Ridden will see you taking in the experience through the eyes of Marie as she joins her sister and friends for a weekend away in the camping wilderness. As you may expect to hear though, things don’t go to plan and when your sister disappears, a whole new adventure unfolds, as you are left to uncover mysteries, secrets, and try to find your sibling.

Running with a huge emphasis on the puzzle side of things, all pushed along by a deep tale within, Lake Ridden on Xbox One can be picked up right now for ÂŁ10.74 from the Xbox Store. If you’re in the market for a new tale to take in, then this may well be one to enjoy.

Game Description:

You are Marie, a 13-year-old girl and the year is 1988. The warm summer is giving way to the first signs of autumn. Reluctantly, you join your younger sister and her friends for one last camping weekend in the wilderness of Maine. It was going just great, but the second night by the sizzling campfire, an argument with your sister ended with her running off into the forest. While searching for her, you stumble upon an old forgotten estate. To solve the mystery, and ultimately find your sister, you must investigate for clues, solve tricky puzzles and communicate with former residents! Created by former Minecraft and Paradox developers. Lake Ridden is not a horror game, nor a walking simulator.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
