We’re a couple of weeks in to February and it’s time to look to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme to start delivering more free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games to the masses. But what do we have today? How do you fancy a bit of free Assassin’s Creed on Xbox One?
I thought you may be interested in that, but before you get stupidly excited and start imagining of free trips to Egypt with AC Origins, or London with AC Syndicate, take a step back, and pack your bags – because you’re off to India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles style!
Usually priced at £7.99, Assassin’s Creed India is one of three Chronicles titles that dropped on Xbox One in 2016. Now, these are not your bog standard AC games, with a change in theme seeing the open world stabby experiences replaced by a 2.5D stealth platformer.
It must be said that the change didn’t go down brilliantly with all gamers, with many wanting more from the Chronicles trilogy, but in the same breath, there were many who liked the difference they delivered.
Which camp do you fall in? Well, you’ll only find out by giving Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India a little shot and right now it is free to download on Xbox One. As with all free Xbox Games With Gold titles, you’ll need a valid Xbox Live Gold Subscription, but should you have that, then you’ve got until mid-March in order to get your download in.
