Resident Evil Village Xbox

Come with us now to the historic region of Translyvania in Resident Evil Village. Explore rural life with the locals – both human and wild creatures – and explore the neighbouring castle to get a sense of the gothic architecture in this new, relaxing travel simulator out now on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Google Stadia.

Had you for a second there? This is Resident Evil Village, the latest instalment in the grandfather of survival horror games, Resident Evil. You may have heard of it.

Village continues the story from the series refreshing Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and has you once again playing as Ethan Winters. This time the Baker family aren’t here to hunt you down. In their place though are werewolves, nine-foot-tall vampire ladies and a sinister looking Chris Redfield of all people. You may have seen Lady Dimitescu all over the internet since her initial reveal; she’s been a bit of a literal big deal to say the least.

Resident Evil Village sticks with the first-person viewpoint that helps really ratchet up the horror and makes everything that bit more visceral. Expect a bit more action though too as Village emulates the likes of the more recent Resident Evil 3 remake. But don’t take my word for it, have a read of our excellent 5/5 review.

Any purchase of Resident Evil Village also packages in the online multiplayer game Resident Evil Re:Verse. This has recently been delayed until the summer but expect some news on a release date soon.

You do have a few options when it comes to which version to purchase. The base game comes in at £54.99, the Deluxe Edition includes the Trauma Pack priced at £64.99 and finally there is the Complete Bundle which includes Resident Evil 7 and all the post-release DLC for that too. This is priced at £74.99.

The Trauma Pack (also available for £11.49) itself contains some memorabilia from the series including the “Samurai Edge” weapon, the “Mr. Everywhere” accessory, a screen filter, special safe room background music, and many more items to amplify your Resident Evil Village experience. But which version will you choose? Dare you choose any?

Whatever you do choose, you’ll find the game available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia.

As always, let us know in the comments below.
