Take in a modern Megaman tale as Firework explodes on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

Echoing the likes of Megaman, Firework explodes on to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, giving gamers the chance to jump and dash their way to glory.

Firework comes about via the creative mind of one Ivan Zanotti as we join the one and only Yan as he takes the good fight to a bunch of Fire Troops in order to unveil a mystery. Narrative wise, the setup is usual gaming fare, but when you consider this is able to deliver a more modern tale (one that has been created by David de La Rosa), Firework becomes an altogether different prospect.

Priced at £12.49 from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with previous releases covering both the Nintendo Switch and PC angles, Firework will have you involving yourself in all the usual platforming perfection that we have come to expect as gamers. Working a Megaman angle, it will be up to you to join Yan the Defective One as he moves through a facility full of foes. Fighting back, extinguishing fires and obtaining hidden power-ups and special gear is all par for the course here – and honestly, it looks more than capable of holding its own in the Xbox world.

With alternative endings to discover (three no less), six different types of special gear to unlock, tons of power-ups and the promise of an ‘awesome boss fight’, we’ve got high hopes for how Firework plays. Even more so when you consider a new cooperative mode is also present.

Our full review of Firework on Xbox will shine a light on the finer details. For now though head on over to the Xbox Store and blast through this little pocket rocket of a game on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.  And let us know how you find it – the comments are below.

Game Description:

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
