The lights are out and away we go, straight from the silver screen to the starting grid as EA SPORTS has released a brand-new content pack for F1 25, allowing players to step directly into the world of the new blockbuster film, F1: THE MOVIE.
This new content, featuring six unique Chapter Scenarios inspired by the film, is available now for players who have pre-ordered the Iconic Edition or as a separate purchase.
This unique collaboration with Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. blurs the line between real, fictional, and virtual worlds, letting you take the leading role in the cockpit of the movie’s fictional APXGP team.
From the Silver Screen to the Starting Grid
When we first covered the launch of F1 25, the promise of exciting movie tie-ins was a major part of the package. Today, that promise has been delivered in a big way.
This new content pack is more than just a livery; it’s a unique, playable experience that allows you to live out pivotal moments from the film.
“Collaborating with Apple and Warner Bros. has enabled us to create a unique experience, allowing our players to not just watch, but live the movie,” said Gavin Cooper, Creative Director of F1 25. “The blend of cinematic film content and the interactive gameplay blurs the line between real, fictional, and virtual worlds, creating a one-of-a-kind, authentic Formula 1 moment that only EA SPORTS could deliver.”
What’s Included in the APXGP Experience?
This new content pack is a deep dive into the world of F1: THE MOVIE, which stars Brad Pitt as veteran driver Sonny Hayes and Damson Idris as his rookie teammate, Joshua Pearce.
Six Cinematic Chapter Scenarios
This is the heart of the new content. Players can take on six thrilling racing challenges directly inspired by the film’s story. These scenarios are set across some of Formula 1’s most iconic circuits:
- Silverstone
- Monza
- Zandvoort
- Mexico City
- Spa-Francorchamps
- Abu Dhabi
You’ll need to navigate dramatic weather shifts and overcome strategic gameplay challenges to succeed. If you can successfully complete all six scenarios, you will unlock Sonny Hayes’ helmet for use in F1 World or your own Driver Career.
Race as the APXGP Team
For those who own the Iconic Edition or purchase the Iconic Edition Upgrade before July 11th, the experience goes even deeper. You will be able to select the fictional APXGP team in the revamped My Team mode and race as its two star drivers, Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce, in Career Mode.
Driver Ratings
To ensure authenticity, both Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce have been assigned their own in-game Driver Ratings, just like the real-world 2025 grid.
