It’s not officially due to release until the 14th September, but should you wish to gear up and hit the ice early, then the release of the NHL 19 Ultimate and Legend Editions will see you right.
Available from today, the Ultimate and Legend Editions of EA’s latest hockey game are here, ensuring that fans of the NHL series can get involved in the game a few days prior to street release.
Priced up at £89.99, the Ultimate Edition includes a copy of the base game, along with some fancy extras, including access to 40 HUT Packs (2 per week for 20 weeks), 1 HUT Cover Athlete item, a single HUT Legend item, a HUT Rookie item, a piece of World of Chel Customization Gear.
The Legend Edition does pretty much the same, but comes in at a slightly cheaper price point – £79.99 – swapping out those 40 HUT Packs for just 20. EA Access members get the usual 10% saving on both of those versions of the game too.
If you’re not bothered by early access, and prefer to stay away from the madness of Hockey Ultimate Team, then the Standard Edition of the game can be yours in a few days time. It’s considerably cheaper at £59.99 and is quite possibly the way to go should you not feel like you wish to see your entire life consumed by the antics of the ice.
Of course, NHL 19 may well do that anyways, and with the EA reputation behind it, and the promises of stunning visuals, improved gameplay and more, any gamer out there slightly tempted by the prospect of a new NHL game should seriously consider a purchase.
