Therapist Simulator
Therapist Simulator – out now on Xbox

Gaming has never been afraid to tackle the difficult topics in life, but in Therapist Simulator on Xbox things get darker than they’ve ever been before.

Alas, someone has to take on the task, so why not you?

Take a Chill Pill

Now available on Xbox consoles, following prior releases on PlayStation, Switch, and PC via Steam, Therapist Simulator delivers you a number of clients, each with their own mental health issues to tend to, and tells you to pretty much get on with it.

With the ability to consult session notes from session to session, the need to prescribe certain medications to your patient, and including an office decoration feature to ensure your office is as welcoming as possible, Therapist Simulator provides all you need to become a top therapist.

Oh, and you can play blackjack from time to time. You know, to take the edge off?

Of course, the most important part of therapy sessions is to say the right things, which might not necessarily be what the patient wants to hear. Over five sessions, ensuring you pick the right dialogue options will allow you to level up and unlock further choices in the future.

Therapist Simulator Key Features

  • Patient Sessions: Each patient can attend a maximum of 5 sessions. If you receive a high enough score at the end of a session, the patient will agree to return. Otherwise, they may abandon the process midway.
  • Dialogue-Based Progression: Your responses and guidance shape both the course of the session and the overall narrative of the game. Your choices can strengthen or damage your patient’s trust in you.
  • Medication Recommendations: At the end of certain sessions, you may have the opportunity to recommend medication to your patient. Correct medication advice grants extra points and accelerates the patient’s recovery.
  • Hidden Stories: With patience and attention to detail, you can uncover the deep secrets that some patients conceal. These hidden stories provide new perspectives on the therapy process and unlock special dialogues.
  • Mental Health System: You must also safeguard your own mental well-being. Challenging cases, negative session outcomes, or overwhelming stress can affect your mental health. Your success is measured not only by your patients’ improvement but also by your ability to maintain your own stability.
  • Office Decoration: You can decorate your office to create a more pleasant working environment and improve your mood. Each decorative item positively impacts your emotional state.
  • Session Records and Reports: At the end of each session, you can take notes and prepare reports on your patient. These records will help you monitor their progress and deepen your understanding of their story.
  • Leveling System: Earn points through successful sessions and wise decisions to level up. As you level up, you unlock special abilities such as highlighting specific choices or extending session duration.
