Tallowmere 2 Curse of the Kittens – now on Xbox!

There are plenty of games that use cute cats to lure players in to some play – and don’t we know it, we’ve been dragged along by all manner of felines. However, Tallowmere 2: Curse of the Kittens might be one of the few that follows up those adorable kitties with a procedurally generated dungeon full of monsters, weapons and inevitable death. This is far from the Hidden Cats games

After previously finding an audience on Steam, Nintendo Switch and mobile, Tallowmere 2 has now arrived on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, bringing its blend of roguelike action, loot hunting and dungeon crawling to Microsoft’s consoles for just ÂŁ5.79.

At A Glance

  • Game: Tallowmere 2: Curse of the Kittens
  • Developer: Chris McFarland
  • Publisher: Ocean Media
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
  • Price: ÂŁ5.79
  • Genre: Roguelike Action Dungeon Crawler

The Kittens Are Acting Strange…

As dungeon setups go, this one is certainly memorable.

Lady Tallowmere’s beloved kittens have begun behaving rather oddly, but the dungeon rituals must continue regardless. That means it’s time to grab a weapon, raise a shield and start battling through an endless series of increasingly dangerous rooms.

The objective is simple: clear each room, find the key and move on. How far you get depends on your skill, your equipment and, perhaps most importantly, whether the roguelike gods decide to smile upon you.

Every Run Is Different

Like any good roguelike, Tallowmere 2 thrives on unpredictability. Rooms, enemies, loot drops, modifiers and rewards are procedurally generated, ensuring that no two dungeon runs play out exactly the same way. One attempt may hand you powerful gear early on, while another leaves you desperately clinging to survival with whatever equipment you can find.

As you progress, you’ll level up, collect blessings, discover better weapons and unlock new options for future adventures. And of course, the further you delve, the tougher the challenge becomes – but the rewards improve too.

Ready To Enter The Dungeon?

Tallowmere 2: Curse of the Kittens is available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ5.79. Just head to the Xbox Store.

With its combination of roguelike randomness, satisfying progression systems and surprisingly dangerous kittens, this long-awaited Xbox release could be well worth a look for anyone who enjoys dungeon crawlers that are easy to pick up but difficult to master.

We’ll see just how many rooms we can survive before Lady Tallowmere’s peculiar pets get the better of us.
