Birthdays and anniversaries need celebrating…what better way for Team 17 to celebrate a couple of milestones than by announcing a couple of new games. Get ready for more Worms action with Worms WMD and Worms 4!
The 20th birthday of Worms neatly matches the 25th anniversary of industry veteran Team 17, and today they have announced that Worms 4 will be coming to mobile devices with Worms WMD hitting Xbox One and PC
Being unveiled at Gamescom 2105, Worms WMD features a fresh, brand new look 2D cartoon-inspired worm as well as gorgeous hand drawn landscapes. For the first time ever players will be able to use exciting new vehicles and even enter buildings which will add new strategic elements of gameplay to the traditional wormy warfare.
We won’t be seeing WMD until 2016, but you’ll be able to get an early look at Gamescom if you visit Team 17’s booth in Hall 10.1, where you’ll also be able to go hands on with Beyond Eyes, Sheltered, Strength of the SWORD: ULTIMATE, Penarium and Team17 developed title The Escapists The Walking Dead.
Worms 4 will also be dropping, but on iPhone, iPad and iPod in August 2015.
