There are few games quite as satisfying as Teardown when it comes to causing absolute chaos, but its latest expansion takes a slightly different route. Rather than throwing players straight into another demolition playground, Relics of Barkuna sends treasure hunters deep into a forgotten civilisation, blending exploration, puzzle-solving and destruction in equal measure.
Available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, the latest premium DLC introduces a brand-new standalone adventure packed with secrets, ancient ruins and hundreds of hidden collectibles waiting to be discovered.

A Different Kind Of Destruction
While Teardown has built its reputation around creative destruction and carefully planned heists, Relics of Barkuna shifts the spotlight towards adventure.
Players take control of seasoned explorer James Thorvaldsson, who has been tasked by the Relic Hunters Group with locating the legendary Great Gem of Barkuna. That journey leads him into the heart of a long-forgotten civilisation hidden beneath dense jungle canopies, towering mountain cliffs and volcanic caverns.
The expansion unfolds across three distinct locations. Jaguar’s Haven offers sprawling jungle ruins swallowed by nature, Eagle’s Perch sends players high into the mountains, while Serpent’s Hollow introduces lava-filled dangers lurking beneath the surface.
Explore, Solve And Smash
Of course, this is still Teardown.
Although puzzles and exploration take centre stage, players are never restricted to a single solution. Ancient obstacles can be approached with careful thinking and environmental problem-solving, or tackled with the sort of brute-force destruction that Teardown fans have come to love.
Scattered throughout the new campaign are more than 240 hidden relics, encouraging players to thoroughly investigate every corner of Barkuna. Five new tools also join the arsenal, helping adventurers uncover secrets and navigate the increasingly challenging environments.
It’s a departure from previous DLC packs such as Time Campers, Folkrace and The Greenwash Gambit, offering a slower-paced but equally rewarding experience.
Another Strong Addition To Teardown
Relics of Barkuna marks the fourth major DLC included within Teardown’s Season Pass, continuing the steady stream of post-launch support that has helped the voxel destruction sandbox remain one of the most unique games available today.
When we reviewed Teardown, we awarded it an impressive 4.5/5, saying: “You may take a look at Teardown and wonder what all the fuss is about. Those thoughts may not change much after the first hour or two of play. But once Teardown clicks, it clicks like nothing else you’ll have played for a good while. Getting to grips with the ideas behind it, considering strategies, working through tactics and then putting them into action, hoping that all goes to plan, always feels good; fresh, due to the sheer amount of variety that is involved.“
Relics of Barkuna looks set to continue that trend, delivering something noticeably different while still embracing the freedom and creativity that makes Teardown so compelling.
