Tennis World Tour serves up an ace as it delivers new free DLC

2026's Best Games

It has to be said that if you’re after a tennis game, your options are fairly limited. In fact, with little being able to still come up to scratch against the awesome Top Spin from years past, there are only really a couple of options available. Thankfully, one of those is today providing access to some new free DLC, as Tennis World Tour drops some new players in to the action.

Back in 2018 Tennis World Tour released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, directly going up against the vastly superior AO International Tennis. Since launch though the team at Bigben have updated it considerably, pushing out bug fixes, new features and additional content drops on a fairly regular basis.

With the likes of Andre Agassi and John McEnroe previously arriving for players to enjoy, it’s now time for some rising stars to hit the stage, with three new characters dropped in for free.

Available to download and add into your World Tennis Tour game right this minute are Denis Shapovalov, a rising Canadian tennis star, Caroline Garcia who is one of the best French female tennis players around, and the Australian revelation Alex De Minaur.

All three of these are present and correct in Tennis World Tour, giving players further options in terms of who they should get acquainted with throughout the career and quick match options. If you have the base game and like to occasionally take to the court to hit some balls, you really should get them downloaded. You see, as free downloads, even if you aren’t really taken in by what they bring, you may as well add them on anyways.

As always the Xbox Store – or your favoured digital store should you prefer a format away from Xbox One – will sort you out with the usual downloads. Hit it up, enjoy what it brings and prepare to take to the tennis courts once more.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
