Terminator: Dark Fate has just released on the big screen, seeing Linda Hamilton and the legend that is Arnold Schwarzenegger return for one more blast. But in terms of gaming, it’s all about us gamers joining the resistance, as the latest Terminator title hits Xbox One, PS4 and PC in the form of Terminator: Resistance.

Terminator: Resistance is available to purchase and download this minute on Xbox One, PS4 and PC – well, at least for those in Europe and Australia, as those residing in the North American region will need to hold tight until December 10th 2019 – and it promises to let us take the fight to the machines, including that of the iconic T-800.

First hinted at in The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Resistance is set during the Future War, running as a first person shooter, and taking in the final battle between mankind and the machines. What this means is that should you wish to fall into the Terminator universe like never before, then Resistance will give that opportunity, letting you utilise a whole range of awesome weaponry, and taking in the hero you have always wanted to be.

With run and gun elements just as important as sneaking around in a stealthy way, should you have always wanted to help change the fate of mankind, or just can’t resist the draw of the Terminator, then Resistance is certainly for you.

Features of Terminator: Resistance on Xbox One, PS4, and PC include:

  • ·        Resist the machines! Fight against a selection of iconic enemies from the films, including the T-800, as well as a host of enemies that are brand new to the Terminator universe.
  • ·        Equip an arsenal of plasma weaponry to run and gun or sneak and hack through sprawling environments! The world isn’t as forgiving as it used to be so you’ll need to search for scraps to trade and craft.
  • ·        Choose the kind of hero you want to be by levelling up your skills while exploring post-Apocalyptic Los Angeles. Complete story missions to rise through the ranks of the Resistance as well as side-quests to help your friends.
  • ·        Change the fate of mankind! Protect a motley crew of survivors, each with their own motivations and backstories. The actions you take throughout the game will impact their survival and change the ending you get.

So what do you say? Sold by the entire Terminator: Resistance premise? If you’re in Europe or Australia then you’ll find the game now available from all the usual digital stores, no matter whether you are running Xbox One, PS4 or PC. Head on over to your favourite – ours being the Xbox Store – and get a download moving. Unless of course you’re in North America, in which case, hold tight until the 10th December. You can grab it on Amazon too.

Make sure you keep an eye out for our full review and if you do decide to help mankind battle it out against the terror of the machines, let us know how you’d best go about it. The comments are below.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
