Imagine if the iconic Tetris was transformed into a 2D platformer, and each tetromino was capable of bridging gaps to facilitate your movement, and you have the TETRA’s Escape series.
With the original coming to Xbox in 2018 (see our full review here), the sequel – TETRA’s Escape 2 – expands upon the concept.
One Blocky Puzzler
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC, TETRA’s Escape 2 puts you into a word blockier than what is even found in Minecraft, and tasks you with reaching the end of the 80 levels found within.
TETRA’s Escape 2 consists of 64 brand-new levels, as well as 16 of the best hits from the original, as a bonus set of challenges.
Within each level, you’ll have a number of tetras that you can change into one of the many different traditional tetrominoes from Tetris, in order to bridge gaps across the level and ensure a single tetra makes it to the end.
Along the way, you’ll revisit special block types from the first TETRA’s Escape, such as thin platforms, fire and ice blocks, and more. You’ll also have to contend with some new obstacles – teleportation, gravity inversion and ghost blocks are all present to shake up how you approach a level.
TETRA’s Escape 2 Key Features
- New gameplay mechanics (teleportation, ghost blocks, etc.)
- Improved gameplay (more intuitive tetras selection…)
- Ability to undo moves/transformations
