There are a fairly hefty number of singing games available on the market, and whilst they may not appeal to all gamers, for those who wish to stand up and be the star, they are pretty much perfect. The next of those games is a special entry into the Let’s Sing franchise, a game that will have us thanking for the music as ABBA come to the fore. Yep, Let’s Sing Presents ABBA is coming.
Ready to whisk players back off to the glory days of the 1970s, Let’s Sing Presents ABBA will have you hitting the dance floor in your platform shoes, delighting in the glow of the disco lights as you get your song on with the latest from the acclaimed karaoke franchise.
Coming from Ravenscourt and Voxler, Let’s Sing Presents ABBA is a special edition of the acclaimed franchise which, as you may suspect, will focus on the Swedish supergroup. It’s due to release later in 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, providing gamers with the opportunity to grab the mic and show off their singing skills.
There’s no doubt that ABBA are a group who have utterly shaped the sound of pop like no other, with their songs continuing to remain as popular as ever. Let’s Sing Presents ABBA will include thirty of their biggest hits, covering all the classics you would expect as well as one taken straight from their latest album “Voyage”.
Further to that, the game interface – as well as the avatars that you’ll see on screen – will be overhauled, taking you back to the era of disco.
So what should you expect when you grab that mic? Well, there’s the chance to dive into the ABBA-verse with evergreens like “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen”, “Waterloo”, “Money, Money, Money”, “Thank You For The Music”, “The Winner Takes It All”, “Take A Chance On Me” and many more.
“Let’s Sing presents ABBA is an exciting opportunity for ABBA fans of all ages to sing along to their greatest hits and share a wonderful moment together.“ says Mia Segolsson, General Manager Polar Music.
“ABBA is one of the most successful bands in music history and influenced many other artists. We’re excited to be working with them for this special edition of Let’s Sing”, adds Nicolas Delorme, Head of Studio at Voxler.
Whilst we wait for the release of Let’s Sing Presents ABBA on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch in the coming months, if you’re attending gamescom, you will find the karaoke fun in place, working TikTok’s stage as creators flex their vocal cords live in Cologne – or via stream – as they bring the sounds of the past to the present. You’ll find them in Hall 9.
