June may not be overflowing with major releases, but what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. At least, we think so.
This month sees one of the most acclaimed RPGs of recent years finally arrive on Xbox, the return of a beloved cult classic, a brand-new HD-2D adventure from Square Enix, and a brutal trip back to the battlefields of Vietnam. Throw in the latest UFC entry and the annual pilgrimage to cycling’s biggest event, and there’s still plenty to keep Xbox players busy as summer begins.
Here are the biggest new Xbox games to watch in June 2026 – the best new Xbox games we think you should be playing through over the next few weeks. There’s a bit of a lack of Game Pass titles currently confirmed though.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH – June 3rd

For many Xbox players, this is the moment they’ve been waiting for.
After years of anticipation, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH finally makes its way to Xbox, bringing with it one of the most celebrated RPG adventures of the generation. Picking up after the events of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and the rest of the gang leave Midgar behind and step into a vast world filled with danger, mystery and unforgettable moments.
This isn’t just a bigger sequel. Expansive regions replace the tighter structure of the first game, offering players the freedom to explore, complete side activities and discover some of the most iconic locations in gaming history, all rebuilt with stunning modern visuals.
Whether you’re experiencing the story for the first time or revisiting it, REBIRTH is undoubtedly one of June’s headline releases.

Tour de France 2026 – June 4th

The world’s biggest cycling race rolls onto Xbox once again, and this year’s edition looks set to offer the most authentic experience yet. Although, after reviewing many Tour de France games over the years, it shouldn’t be too difficult to raise the bar.
Tour de France 2026 introduces dynamic weather systems that can dramatically alter race conditions, forcing riders to adapt on the fly as sunshine gives way to rain-soaked roads and treacherous descents. Alongside the official route, players can tackle new races, expanded events and enhanced team management options.
The visual upgrades are noticeable too, with improved environmental detail helping to recreate the atmosphere of cycling’s most prestigious competition.
For dedicated cycling fans, this remains the closest thing to pulling on the yellow jersey without leaving the sofa. We’ll find out how it rolls in full review soon.

Gothic 1 Remake – June 5th

Few RPGs have earned the cult status of the original Gothic.
Released more than two decades ago, the classic fantasy adventure helped shape the open-world RPG genre, and now it returns completely rebuilt for modern audiences. Gothic 1 Remake transports players back to the unforgiving Valley of Mines, a prison colony where survival depends on the alliances you forge and the choices you make.
The world remains as dangerous and reactive as ever, with rival factions, deadly creatures and a living ecosystem creating a constant sense of immersion. At the same time, combat, visuals and quest design have all received substantial modernisation.
For longtime fans, it’s a chance to revisit a legend. For newcomers, it’s an opportunity to discover why Gothic remains so influential all these years later.

The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales – June 18th

Square Enix continues its impressive HD-2D streak with an entirely new adventure.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales blends gorgeous pixel-art visuals with real-time action combat, following adventurer Elliot and his fairy companion Faie as they uncover ancient mysteries spanning multiple eras. Set across a continent threatened by powerful beast tribes, the journey promises exploration, combat and puzzle-solving wrapped in a beautifully realised fantasy world.
The signature HD-2D style once again delivers a striking mix of retro charm and modern effects, while the action-focused gameplay offers a fresh twist compared to some of Square Enix’s previous projects. This could easily become one of the year’s surprises.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam – June 18th – Now August 13th

**EDIT – Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Launch Delayed to August 13th **
The battle moves from Europe to Southeast Asia as Hell Let Loose heads into one of warfare’s most complex and challenging conflicts.
Vietnam takes the large-scale, teamwork-focused gameplay that made the original such a success and adapts it to dense jungles, hidden tunnel networks, river systems and unpredictable ambushes. Massive 50-versus-50 battles return, with players fighting as either the US Armed Forces or the North Vietnamese Army.
New traversal mechanics, helicopters, patrol boats and era-authentic weaponry all combine to create a very different battlefield experience. Communication and coordination remain key, but the unique terrain and tactics of the Vietnam War should force veterans to rethink their strategies.
If you’re looking for multiplayer action with depth and authenticity, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam could be one of June’s standout releases.

UFC 6 – June 19th

EA Sports returns to the Octagon with another step forward for the long-running MMA franchise.
UFC 6 aims to deliver its most realistic fighting experience yet, thanks to enhanced motion capture technology and more advanced real-time physics. Every strike, submission and takedown has been refined to create more authentic bouts, while presentation upgrades bring fighters, arenas and crowd reactions closer to their real-world counterparts. And yes, we know we hear that every few years, with every iteration of UFC, but seeing as UFC 5 nailed matters, we’d not expect them to miss a beat now.
Beyond the action itself, new modes including Hall of Legends and Legacy provide additional reasons to step into the cage, whether you’re reliving iconic moments from UFC history or forging your own path to championship glory.
For combat sports fans, UFC 6 looks ready to continue the series’ evolution.

A Smaller Month, But Still Plenty To Play
June 2026 may not have the sheer volume of releases seen earlier in the year, especially after May which provided Forza Horizon 6 and a ton more, but there’s still plenty to get excited about.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH finally making the jump to Xbox is a huge moment, Gothic 1 Remake brings back a cult classic, and The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales looks like it could well be another potential gem from Square Enix. Add Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and UFC 6 into the mix, and Xbox players have a varied line-up spanning RPGs, strategy, sports and multiplayer warfare. That’s not even mentioning the much smaller indie games that will pop up on the daily.
You know, sometimes quality beats quantity – and June is shaping up to be exactly that kind of month. Let us know what you decide to play. The comments are below.
