The final frontier for one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved indie games in recent memory has finally been opened as DAVE THE DIVER releases on Xbox.
DAVE THE DIVER, the unique single-player adventure RPG and management hybrid, has launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This phenomenon from developer Mintrocket is now available on the Xbox Store for play on Xbox Series X|S, handheld and Xbox for PC.
The Blue Hole is officially open for a new season, and Xbox players can immediately dive into the deep-sea exploration, business management, and fishing precision that has captivated players worldwide.
A Highly Anticipated Dive
We have been waiting for this final platform launch for a long time.
The game was so highly desired that we included it in our feature on Games We Want To See On Xbox In 2025, alongside other major releases.
It has more than lived up to the hype, enjoying global acclaim upon its Steam Early Access launch in 2022 and its subsequent 1.0 release in 2023, where it earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” review score.
The game masterfully blends genres into a unique gameplay loop that is incredibly easy to get hooked on: explore the deep sea by day, tackling missions and quests, and run an exotic sushi restaurant by night, serving your strange catches to customers.
Loaded With Content: All DLC Included
Xbox players have an immediate advantage, gaining access to all available expansion content right from launch. This means you can immediately dive into some wonderfully chaotic mash-ups:
- DREDGE Content Pack: This adds an ominous red fog that, when active, allows Dave to catch underwater aberrations that can be served to mysterious hooded visitors at Bancho Sushi.
- Godzilla Content Pack: Experience Godzilla’s disastrous presence in the Blue Hole, forcing Dave to pursue the legendary kaiju while battling Ebirah in a submarine and collecting rare ingredients for new Godzilla-inspired dishes.
- Ichiban’s Holiday DLC: Introduces Ichiban Kasuga and other characters from the Yakuza series, complete with new missions, mini-games, and karaoke.

The Future: Into the Jungle and Physical Editions
The adventure is only expanding.
Mintrocket also unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming In the Jungle DLC, the largest expansion to date. This new content brings Dave out of the Blue Hole and onto dry land, adding a new jungle biome and freshwater environments teeming with new fish, ingredients, friends, and foes. This new story is set to launch in Early 2026.
Furthermore, DAVE THE DIVER will soon be surfacing in physical form, with a full physical edition launch planned for 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Is DAVE THE DIVER on Game Pass?
