With the reveal of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics back in June 2019, fans of the Netflix show have had much to look forward to. And now, as we start looking ahead to games releasing in 2020, En Masse Entertainment have announced the full release date – and this one will be with us before we know it.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC on February 4th 2020, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will provide plenty of tactical strategy elements, all as it reimagines the world of The Dark Crystal as a tactical strategy game.

With the team at BonusXP working on the development and drawing upon decades of experience, the aim is to deliver a game with both tactical depth for genre veterans and accessibility for those less familiar with turn-based-tactics titles. With over 15 unique characters and jobs to build a party with, players will get the chance to experiment with hundreds of different unit combinations to form strategies that fit their playstyle.

But sorting out a playstyle won’t be the only concern, and as you dip into the fantasy world of Thra, and you will be found embarking on an epic quest to unite the seven Gelfling clans against the evil Skeksis in a never-seen-before sidestory that runs parallel to the Netflix Original Series from earlier this year.

We will of course remind you when that release comes about, however it matters not whether you’ll be playing on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC, as any fan of The Dark Crystal will no doubt be hugely interested in what En Masse and BonusXP have created.

To gear yourself up even more, you may as well take in the announcement trailer too. Give it a watch and let us know what you think. The comments are down below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
