The Definitive Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2 breaks out of Game Preview on Xbox One

-

Best of 2025

Having spent a fair few months in Xbox Game Preview, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has now fully launched and is ready to envelop players in one of the richest RPG world’s you’ve ever seen. Are you ready to get stuck in and become immersed in Rivellon?

Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition lets you carve your own path in Rivellon by creating an original character or alternatively, you can play as one of six characters with ready-made back-stories and unique personalities. There’s an Elf assassin, a noble Lizard and a rebellious Dwarf, to name just a few of those options. And then it’s out into a world abandoned by the gods, a place where everyone has a little bit of darkness within them and choices are vital as you aim to grow stronger – with your main goal being to replace the aforementioned gods. You’ll need to defeat all who dare stand in your way by partaking in tactical, turn-based combat, making the best use of the environment and manipulating the elements masterfully.

As it is the Definitive Edition, a vastly improved experience can be expected, with thousands of tweaks and changes that all help to create the ultimate RPG experience on console. It also offers online and split-screen co-op, as well as beautiful 4K and HDR graphics, whilst in terms of content the third chapter has been completely rewritten.

The battle for Divinity has begun, but you can throw yourself into the mix by purchasing Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition on Xbox One for £49.99. All you need to do is journey to the Microsoft Store to buy it, and whilst you’re there, check out the DLC companion Sir Lora the Squirrel, who’s available for only £2.39.
