In games, you will find that your level progression limited by how fast you can move around from place to place. After grinding for some time in a particular zone, things are bound to dry up. This is when you need to make your way over to greener pastures.
In times like these, mount comes in handy. In World of Warcraft, mounts increase your movement speed several-fold. Besides this mechanical utility, nobody can deny that the mounts are cute. It’s like hanging out with a buddy! Or a badass pet! That’s reason enough to find one.
All the mounts listed here require some manner of effort. And just a quick note – if you feel like you don’t have that much time, you can, for a fee, buy your own mounts. In fact, you can buy WoW mounts here.
Back to the point. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about finding a mount in WoW.
Getting a Mount at Level 1
If you’ve played any WoW, then you know that you only unlock mounts at level 10. How, then, is it possible to get a mount right out of the gate? Well, let us let you in on it.
If you go around collecting heirloom items and manage to stack up 35, you’ll complete the achievement known as Heirloom Hunter. As a reward for doing so, you’ll get a special Heirloom Mount: the Chauffeured Chopper! Not only is it a cool-looking motorcycle, but you also get someone to drive you along to places!
Now, admittedly, it’s not the fastest. It’s the slowest of all available mounts. However, considering you can get it at level 1, it’s not a bad deal at all.
Mounts by Faction and Rank
Depending on which faction you join, the race you choose to be, and what rank you achieve, you will unlock access to different mounts. We have assembled a few tables for you to know at a glance what you’ll be getting.
