If you’re a player of The Elder Scrolls Online then you will be well aware that PC players get access to the most exciting new updates first, before that content then drips down to console a few weeks later. Well, seeing as those PC players gained access to The Elder Scrolls Online: Scribes of Fate very recently, it seems like a good time to chuck it out to Xbox and PlayStation players too.

Available today as the latest DLC drop and update to The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Scribes of Fate brings Update 37 to consoleland, letting those players join their PC cousins in having access to everything that is good about TESO.

Rolling out today, The Elder Scrolls Online: Scribes of Fate adds in a couple of new four-player PvE dungeons in the form of Bal Sunnar and Scrivener’s Hall, as players get the chance to take in a couple of unique stories that play out as the opening points to the larger Shadow Over Morrowind adventure. It’s these which will then help lead into the upcoming Necrom Prologue and Necrom Chapter that is due later in 2023.

The two dungeons can be taken in across normal, veteran and hard difficulties, will feature unique rewards and Achievements, and be found thrusting no less than six new item sets, two monster sets and a ton of collectibles the way of the players.

It’s the arrival of The Elder Scrolls Online: Scribes of Fate that will be the most interest to console players, but this also signals the arrival of Update 37; a base-game patch that is free to install for all TESO players. What are you getting? Well, the usual number of fixes, additions and improvements for one, but it’s a new accessibility feature that is probably of most use to many, adding in Screen Narration, a new cosmetic tool in the shape of Hide Shoulders and quality-of-life improvements to the Housing System.

PC players have found all this present for a couple of weeks, but now it’s time for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 folk to enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online: Scribes of Fate too. It’s available as part of the ESO Plus Membership or for 1500 crowns in-game. Further and you may well also find a 4000 crown Scribes of Fate Collector’s Bundle is also available for 4,000 crowns and includes access to the DLC game pack, the Antecedent Scholar’s Guar mount, the Blightlord’s Skeever pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls.

Dropping back into The Elder Scrolls Online to checkout the Scribes of Fate content? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

If you don’t have The Elder Scrolls Online in your Xbox library, get it fixed by downloading the base game – for free – from the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. We’d recommend throwing the High Isle expansion in for good measure.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
