When Minecraft Dungeons dropped back in mid-2020, few could have imagined the success it would have found. Granted, it was flawed in some areas, but for the most part this was a fun little dungeon crawler that managed to nail the Minecraft look. Since release multiple DLC packs have arrived for the game, but now the end is nigh as we see the final (for now) addition to the game – Echoing Void. But there’s more and alongside the DLC and free update that accompanies it is a full on Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition.
The Echoing Void DLC for Minecraft Dungeons sees the arrival of the conclusion to the year long story that has grabbed many gamers. It takes the fight to the Endermen at the End, allowing players the chance to take on all new enemies, collect a ton of legendary gear and make their way through some of the most challenging missions to hit the game yet.
Expect to find the following…
- – Three new missions
- – All-new mobs and enemies
- – New weapons, gear and artefacts
- – Two new skins and a pet
Echoing Void follows on from Hidden Depths, Flames of the Nether and Howling Peaks that have come before it, with this latest addition priced up at the now usual £4.99. Of course, if you’ve followed the tale this far, there’s a chance you would have already picked up the Minecraft Dungeons Season Pass, in which case you’ll be sorted with all 4 of the DLC drops.
Alongside the arrival of Echoing Void comes a free content update that will roll out to all players. it’s the Gauntlet of Gales which is the focal point this time around, delivering a maze-like mission that will see you needing to put all your skills to the ultimate test.
Talking ultimate and the Minecraft Dungeons: Ultimate Edition is also available. This brings together everything you could ever want from the Minecraft Dungeons world, dropping in the base game alongside the Season Pass offerings and the Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter add-ons. It’s priced at £33.49 from the Xbox Store and is probably the best way for any newcomer to Dungeons to get involved. Alternatively, if you have the base game but wish to expand it with the content, the Ultimate DLC Bundle is probably a better bet.
As always you’ll find the Minecraft Dungeons DLC and Ultimate Edition stuff kicking around on all the formats the base game is available on – Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass so really there’s no reason to not have played it. Let us know in the comments if these new arrivals are able to kickstart a new found dungeon crawling love.
DLC Description:
You’ve followed the story of the Arch-Illager and found the shards from the Orb of Dominance, and now it’s time to get to the End. Reach the conclusion of the Minecraft Dungeons story with the newest DLC – Echoing Void! Face new enemies, collect gear and make your way through challenging missions to end this fight for good. It can be scary to go into the unknown and face the End, but remember the real treasure is the friends you make along the way! The actual treasure is great too though.
