We’ve been on this HD-2D journey for a little while now. Last year we had the pleasure of playing DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake. In our 4/5 review, we called it a “brilliant job of keeping as close to the original without diverting too much,” and praised its traditional JRPG feel.

- DRAGON QUEST II – Many years have passed, and the descendants of Erdrick have founded three new kingdoms. But darkness stirs once more, and a sudden invasion plunges the world into shadow. You will play as the Prince of Midenhall, who is joined by his cousins, the Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrooke. In a brand-new addition for this version, they are also joined by the Princess of Cannock, creating a new four-person party. You’ll even obtain a ship, allowing you to traverse the seas and broaden your horizons.
