Escape Rooms are always done better as a group of you, so why is it rare to see multiplayer escape rooms on Xbox? Escape Academy only has space for you and a friend, whilst Escape 2088 is just you on your own. The Experiment: Escape Room is out today on Xbox and offers escape room scares for up to six players in total.
In The Experiment: Escape Room, you are the experiment. A visit to the doctors leaves you drugged and in a strange place. The “doctor” has been performing experiments on various animals but they haven’t produced the results he is looking for. You and your friends are up next if you don’t escape in time!
The Experiment features escape room scares and chills for up to six players online. That’s cooperatively, there is also a versus mode. A versus mode in an escape room is a novel idea yet works like you would expect. Each player is locked on their own and must try and escape The Experiment as quickly as possible.
The Experiment: Escape Room is rated PEGI 7 but even in the trailer there are morgues and dead bodies found lying around. I would offer a warning that this age rating may be incorrect.

“The Experiment” is a multiplayer escape room puzzle game! It can be played competitively, co-op or solo. Story While visiting a well renowned doctor, you notice something is amiss at his office. Before you realize what’s going on, he drugs you and you fall asleep. When you wake up, you are sitting on a chair in the back room, locked and unable to get out of the building. You can tell that the doctor is running some kind of experiment on animals and people and you are his next subject! Can you figure out what’s going on and escape before it’s too late? Multiplayer Gather up to 6 people and play as one team that tries to solve the puzzles or try the “Versus” mode, where each player is locked alone and tries to escape the room before the others do!
