A controversial name that we certainly didn’t expect to see again has returned to the Xbox Store, this time with a completely new genre and a mission to save some helpless kittens appears on Xbox and PC in the form of Gabriels Worlds The Sokoban Adventure.
From RAFAEL V.F, Gabriels Worlds The Sokoban Adventure is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with prices starting at just £4.19.

A History of Hope and Hopelessness
Let’s not beat around the bush. Our history with this particular franchise is not a good one.
The original game, Gabriel’s Worlds The Adventure, was a passion project that sadly missed the mark entirely. In our 1/5 review from 2022, we called it a “hopeless little platformer, barely finished and lacking content to justify the price,” and concluded that “any discerning gamer will leave Gabriel’s Worlds The Adventure well, well alone.“
Now, with a complete shift from platformer to Sokoban-style puzzler, the series has a chance to redeem itself.
A New Vacation, A New Genre
The story this time is a simple and charming one. Our hero, Gabriel, is finally on vacation, but his adventure is just beginning. He discovers that mysterious villains have trapped a group of helpless kittens inside boxes, and it’s up to him to solve a series of challenging puzzles to set them free.
This new entry leaves the platforming genre behind entirely, opting instead for a classic Sokoban-style puzzle experience. You will need to push boxes around a grid to clear a path and solve the challenges across 40 different levels.
It promises a relaxing and delightful adventure full of colour, charm, and fun.
