Gatewalkers – Finally on Xbox

Some journeys are longer than others, and for Xbox players, the wait for Gatewalkers has been an epic one.

But today, that wait is over!

Developer and publisher A2 Softworks has officially launched its unique co-op survival RPG, Gatewalkers, on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £20.99.

The Gates Have Finally Opened on Xbox

This is a launch that has been on our radar for a very, very long time.

To say this release has been anticipated would be an understatement. We first reported that Gatewalkers would be expanding to Xbox One way back in 2020. Now, five years later, that promise has been fulfilled, and Xbox players can finally step through the portals and experience this unique adventure for themselves.

In Gatewalkers, you play as a member of an elite group who can travel across different worlds in order to save your own. This isn’t just a simple jaunt; you’ll need to explore dangerous, unknown realms to complete your mission.

A Unique Blend of Co-op, Survival, and RPG Gameplay

Gatewalkers combines several genres into one compelling package.

  • Explore Procedurally Generated Worlds – Each time you step through a gate, you’ll be transported to a new, procedurally generated world. This ensures that no two expeditions are the same, keeping the exploration fresh and unpredictable.
  • Survive More Than Just Monsters – Your biggest threats aren’t always the hostile inhabitants you’ll face. The worlds you visit are perilous, and you’ll need to contend with extreme survival challenges like harsh weather conditions, toxic atmospheres, a lack of water, and much more. You’ll need to prepare, adapt, and work together with your co-op partners to survive.

Key Aspects of Your Gatewalking Adventure

Gatewalkers is a unique mixture of co-op game, survival, and RPG. As a Gatewalker, you will travel across different, procedurally generated worlds to save your own.

Explore these dangerous lands, face off against hostile inhabitants, and overcome tough environmental challenges like extreme weather and toxic atmospheres. This is a game that will test your skills and your ability to work as a team.

Is it Time to Step Through the Gate?

The long, long wait is finally over. Gatewalkers offers a unique co-op survival RPG experience where every journey into a new world brings fresh challenges and dangers.

If you’ve been patiently waiting or are just hearing about this intriguing title now, it’s available right now on the Xbox Store for £20.99.

It’s time to gather your friends and become a Gatewalker!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
