Are you ready to raise anchor and set sail on a whole new adventure? It’ll soon be time to take part in the golden age of pirating once more as King of Seas is announced for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Created by the development team at 3DClouds – they of All-Star Fruit Racing, Xenon Racer, Race With Ryan fame – King of Seas is a new action role-player which will let you immerse yourself into the pirate life, much like Sea of Thieves promised a few years back.
Scheduled for release at some point in Autumn 2020, launching on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, King of Seas promises to bring you ferocious sea battles, hidden treasure and multiple lost islands, with everything set in a stunning procedurally generated game world.
In King of Seas you’ll be found embarking on an epic journey in order to avenge the death of your father, navigating your way through unknown waters and waging battle with other ships as you stake claim to become the king of all pirates, once and for all. Throughout, you’ll discover a dynamic game world which will react to your every action, forcing you to evaluate your strategy and tactical ideas at every turn. Adapting new challenges is par for the course in this pirate adventure, and multiple naval routes will mean you’ll have to consider a variety of ways to conquer settlements.
Throw in adverse weather conditions that may affect your ideas, creating more dangerous routes to be navigated when heading to islands to trade goods or upgrade your ships, and the chance to engage with an intriguing cast of characters who may steer you towards hidden treasures or lead you into deadly traps as other pirates look to plunder your gold, and you can be sure of much content on these high seas.
“We are thrilled that after a year of hard work, we are finally ready to unveil King of Seas, our most ambitious project to date.” Commented Francesco Bruschi, Founder and CEO of 3DClouds. “We have poured all our creative talent into creating this stunning pirate world and can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks.”
We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as 3DClouds drop the bomb on that all-important release date, but in the meantime you can take in a sneaky little look into the world of King of Seas with the teaser trailer below. If anything, it’ll give you a glimpse of the stunning locations and destructive sea battles which you will encounter when the game releases.
