Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog, and a certain Italian plumber may take the podium spots when it comes to platforming mascots, but spare a moment for the lesser-known guys. Surely everyone remembers Gex, the cheeky, blabber-mouthed gecko who graced our screens in the 1990s.
Well, even if you don’t, it’s time to get familiar, as the Gex Trilogy brings the three original titles to modern audiences, with tons of improvements and updates to boot.
Double O-Gecko
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC, the Gex Trilogy reproduces the iconic three original platformers.
Gex (the original) is a classic 2D platformer, and will see you catch flies with Gex’s sticky tongue, face off against killer robots, and more. The sequel and threquel to the 1995 original take Gex to new heights in 3D, with Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex: Deep Cover Gecko immediately reminding players of classic 90s 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64.
As is the case with any remaster, the Gex Trilogy comes with a ton of technical modernisations, such as full 360-degree analogue control, native 16:9 widescreen, and enhanced resolution.

Gex Trilogy Description
Exploding into the modern era like a pro wrestler from the top rope—it’s Gex! The fast-talking gecko who doesn’t want to sell you insurance! That’s right, the greatest gaming hero of the 1990s has returned for the 2020s through the raw, unbridled power of the Carbon Engine.
Gex Trilogy reproduces all three original games in exacting detail, precisely the way you remember them. Assuming you’ve gone senile and remember them having high-definition native 16:9 widescreen visuals and fully analog controls. Which they didn’t. No, this is the Gex series the way it was meant to be played. The Man didn’t think you were ready back then. He kept this version locked away. But the moment has finally arrived. Down with The Man! Up with Gex! Gex Trilogy is Gex, the next-gen version. The Gex’t-gen version. The Gexiest version of all.
