The Jackbox Survey Scramble – two new games get added

There’s a double dose of survey-based shenanigans playing out as Jackbox Games expand the fun of The Jackbox Survey Scramble with a free update that adds two brand-new game modes and a host of exciting features.

As we noted in our review of the game, The Jackbox Survey Scramble is “three-quarters of the way to being another hugely fun Jackbox experience.” With this latest update, it seems Jackbox Games is determined to fill that remaining quarter and deliver a truly unforgettable party game experience.

New Modes to Scramble Your Brain

The free update introduces two fresh game modes to the already hilarious lineup:

  • Dash – Find the most popular survey answer to move ahead. Double down on your choice for more progress (or more punishment).
  • Dares – You control whether a fellow player must guess something higher or lower on the list than what’s just been revealed. Throw them a nearly impossible challenge… but don’t be shocked when they nail it and rake in the points.

Customisation Galore

In addition to the new game modes, the update includes a variety of new gameplay settings to personalize your party experience:

  • Extended Rounds: Vote to play additional rounds in Hilo and Dares, keeping the fun going for longer.
  • Scrambled Squares: Add a layer of unpredictability to Squares mode with randomized answer ranges.
  • Three Strikes in Squares: Increase the challenge in Squares with a “three strikes” rule, ending your turn if you fail to guess correctly after three attempts.
  • Unlimited Speed: Disable the timer in Speed mode and enjoy a more relaxed pace as you uncover the answers.
  • Bounce Adjustments: Fine-tune the ball speed and acceleration in Bounce mode, and skip the practice session to jump right into the action.
  • Dash Track Length: Adjust the track length in Dash mode for shorter or longer games.
  • Point Splitting: Disable point splitting for duplicate answers in Hilo mode, adding a new layer of strategy to the guessing game.

A Survey of Fun

With these new additions, The Jackbox Survey Scramble is shaping up to be an even more entertaining and replayable party game. The combination of hilarious survey questions, unique – and new – game modes, and customisable settings ensures that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The Jackbox Survey Scramble is available now on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. The free update with the new game modes and settings is rolling out right about now. If you want some fun, gather your friends, family, and maybe even a few frenemies, and get ready for a hilarious and unpredictable party game experience.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
