Find the Cats 2 – out now on Xbox and PC

What do you get if you combine the satisfaction of a hidden objects puzzle with the cuteness of fluffy felines? That’s right – Find The Cats 2, the latest cool cat to enter the cosy games market, as it’s available now on Xbox.

The second edition of the Find The Cats series brings us to even more charming hand-drawn locations, with cats hiding around every corner of the adorable pixel-art scenes.

Already available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC, Find The Cats 2, from Ember Box Studio, delivers exactly what players would expect – furry felines hidden in the shadows of cosy artworks, waiting to be revealed, and for colour to be returned to them.

Find The Cats 2 can also be picked up in the Find The Cats 2: Pawsome Bundle, where players can explore this latest game to the series, and its predecessor, Find The Cats.

At A Glance

Time To Uncover The Hiding Felines

With 30 different brand-new themed levels, and 10 unique cats to find in each, Find The Cats 2 offers a quick, satisfying hunt for any casual player. Spend some time scouring each colourful scene, and get immersed in the cosiness of the charming environment.

Find The Cats 2 also offers up a challenge for the speedrunning type, giving gold stars to the players who manage to track down every cat in under 30 seconds, giving every level a replayability factor as you race to uncover every feline in as little time as possible.

With the hidden cats genre constantly expanding, Find the Cats 2 is unique in its diversity of playstyles, meaning that there’s something for everyone – whether you want to take it slow and soak in the art, or compete with yourself to solve the levels as quickly as you can. However you want to play, everyone gets a little bit of satisfaction finding the sneaky kitties before moving on and searching for more.

We’ve Already Found The Cats

We’ve been spending some time hunting down every elusive feline, including in the original Find the Cats, where it earned 3/5 stars, showing potential for improvement, but most importantly already having a secure enjoyment factor, with beautiful artwork and satisfying gameplay.

Find The Cats 2 was a welcome addition then, being awarded 3.5/5 stars, where we enjoyed the detail put into the beautifully crafted, pixel-art based scenes. However, we did note that the game seems to lack some longevity, and some improvements could be added to add to the satisfaction of the gameplay.

As we said in our review of Find The Cats 2: “There are multiple small fixes that would make a real difference. All that Ember Box Studio needs to do is pause for a moment and implement them.” Not only does the game seem to pass you by in only a matter of half an hour, there are often some frustrating moments, where the final cat is hidden in a manner that is almost impossible to find without relying on the game’s hints.

Nonetheless, Find the Cats 2 is more than suitable for players looking for a quick escape into the cosy, and affordable, hidden objects universe.

A Satisfying Hunt Awaits!

Find the Cats 2, as well as the Find the Cats: Pawsome Bundle is now available for purchase. The base game is present in three versions – optimised on Xbox Series X|S, also playable on Xbox One, and Windows PC, each for ÂŁ3.29.

Get lost in the mix of fantasy and reality with the adorable hand-drawn scenes, and enjoy the satisfaction of tracking down every last cat.
