When you see the Studio Fizbin name attached, you know you’re going to be on to a bit of an intriguing prospect. After gaining critical acclaim for The Inner World and Minute of Islands, it’s now time for that same team to prove their worth once more – this time with a launch of the mysterious narrative of Lost At Sea on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC.
A next-gen console and PC through Steam title, Lost At Sea comes to gamers not just via the Studio Fizbin team, but those at Headup too. It focuses all efforts on the story of Anna – a lady who in the latter stages of her life wishes to be alone. The problem is, in order to embrace the future, she’ll need to fully understand her past.
Priced at £12.49 and running with some super strong meta levels of interaction, Lost At Sea will see Xbox Series X|S (this is optimised for Xbox Series X|S), PS5 and PC gamers joining Anna on a mysterious yet beautiful island. The thing is, she’s unaware of how she got there but whilst exploring the land begins to gather up memories of her past. This is pushed out to players via the medium of mini-games, puzzle solving and the discovery of objects.
With a variety of biomes present on the island, each of which is able to cover a certain stage of Anna’s life, Lost At Sea promises to be a hugely important game; one that is able to play on life, death, family and fears. Psychological aspects will be front and centre, as will the first person gameplay and the free feeling of exploration. Just be aware that there will always be danger lurking around every corner.
